Work Friends Are Great Friends
Over this past weekend, Kate threw one heck of a wedding. There was laughter, dancing, in fact, A LOT of dancing. But the big take-away… it’s awesome to have friends as co-workers. The ladies at KR Squared helped corral guests, set placecards, and move flowers. Honestly, they were invaluable.
Now having friends as co-workers might sound like a cautionary tale; however, stats tell a completely different story. A Gallup study revealed that having friends at work makes individuals seven times more engaged in their jobs. Isn’t that wild? This high level of engagement isn't just beneficial for us, but it's a golden ticket for employers seeking productivity and motivation from their teams.
What’s more, when friends are born out of work situations, it’s often a deep bond. You see each other's professional highs and lows, offering a unique perspective that other friends might not have. Seriously, It truly helps professionally and personally to have each other’s backs.
At KR Squared, we definitely share experiences across the board. We bond over weekend stories and movie suggestions while navigating tight deadlines and last-minute meetings. It’s a win-win!
So the next time you walk into your office, see it as an opportunity for potential friendships and partners in crime. Who knows? Be it weddings or work assignments, your future BFF could be just a desk away!
