What a Privilege It Is

Every year, the holiday season sneaks up on us, not gently, but with that familiar sprint of budgets, deadlines, wrap-ups, and the collective “how is it already December?” bewilderment. At KR Squared, this time of year is beautifully chaotic. We’re deep in 2026 planning, finalizing projects, fielding calls, juggling meetings, and trying to remember which party we RSVP’d to and which one we still haven’t. (Sorry in advance.)

It’s busy. It’s full. And honestly? It can feel like a lot. But lately, tucked between spreadsheets and late-night edits, we’ve been reminding ourselves of something important:

What a privilege it all is.

  • What a privilege it is to be tired from work we love.

  • What a privilege it is to feel overwhelmed by the life we once dreamed about.

  • What a privilege it is to outgrow what we used to settle for.

  • What a privilege it is to expand, to be stretched, challenged, and humbled in new ways.

We forget this sometimes. It’s easy to. The pace can blur our perspective; the to-do list can drown out the gratitude. But when we zoom out…really zoom out…there’s this quiet truth that sits beneath everything we do:

Our exhaustion is not a burden. It’s evidence of a life in motion. A life on purpose.

  • The late nights mean someone trusted us.

  • The full calendar means our work matters.

  • The pressure means we’re growing.

  • The “oh wow, this is a lot” moments mean we’ve built something real.

And in between all of this, we still get to sit at tables with people we love. We get to celebrate the wins, big and small. We get to rest, reset, and remember who we are and why we do this.

This season, we’re choosing to hold both truths at once: Yes, it’s overwhelming, and yes, it’s a blessing.
