Trust the Team, Trust the Flow
We’re gearing up for a full week on site at the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship, and let me tell you, it’s all systems go. We’ve got boots on the ground in the media center, eyes on content for social, and our beloved floaters (the Swiss Army knives of the team) handling everything else that comes our way.
When you’ve got a good team, there’s this unspoken rhythm. Everyone just knows what needs to be done, and more importantly, they actually do it. No micromanaging. No chaos. Just flow.
It’s the magic of divide and conquer. And our team? We conquer. But it got me thinking… this isn’t just something that applies to work.
When I was a young mom, I was lucky to have a circle of friends who operated the same way. We stepped in when someone needed help, whether that meant carpooling, dropping off dinner, or just showing up with a latte and a much-needed “I’ve got the baby, go take a nap.” Honestly, even calling a timeout for yourself took a team. That kind of trust, that “I’ve got you” energy, is incredibly valuable. And it’s not something you find everywhere.
Plus, the data backs it up:
A Stanford study found that people who feel like they’re working as part of a team persist 48 percent longer on challenging tasks.
A Gallup report shows that employees who feel connected to their team are 21 percent more productive and 41 percent less likely to call in sick.
Outside the workplace, studies show that strong social support networks reduce stress, increase resilience, and even boost longevity.
Whether you’re running media ops at a golf tournament or just trying to survive toddler bedtime, teamwork makes a difference. So here’s to the ones who jump in without being asked. The people who make things feel effortless, even when they’re not. The ones who understand that success isn’t a solo sport. After all, success at KR Squared takes a community!
See you on the green. We’ll be the ones high-fiving and getting it done…TOGETHER.
