Jo Roy is a director/choreographer for commercials and dance-based content. Her comprehensive interdisciplinary training, combined with technical filmmaking, creates a unique form of storytelling. Recently, Jo was commissioned to direct and co-choreograph Sprite’s commercial spot, The Pole, which took two Bronze Lions at the 2019 Cannes Lions Awards and was an Ad Age Editor’s Pick. Her work has been showcased through Nowness, The British Council, and Drome Magazine. Plus, she directed live creative performances for Jimmy Kimmel Live and Canada’s Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies. Jo has also choreographed content for Vivo Mobile, Marriott, Panic! At the Disco, Vulfpeck, and renowned cellist Lynn Harrell.
